Workshop information

[New 2020-10-16]
In order to prepare a new edition of the HIFAAS workshop, registrations are now re-open.
At this stage, it is not necessary to submit an abstract in order to register. Abstract submission will be detailed once a definite date will be fixed.

[2020-02-03]
Given the current status of covid-19 epidemic propagation, we are really sorry to announce that we are forced to postpone the Workshop. We apologize sincerely as we are very conscious that this last minute decision forces the participants to cancel all of their travel plans. We still hope that you will join us once we have setup a new safe date for the Workshop. The scientific interest remains very strong.

Objective and program

The objective of the workshop is to bring together the specialists of the different communities contributing to the building blocks of infrared heterodyne interferometry, to evaluate the potential of the recent developments in each of these fields.

The workshop will be divided in 7 sessions dedicated to scientific presentations on each aspects of infrared heterodyne interferometry. A special attention will be paid to encourage the discussions between the participants at each of the workshop sessions :

- Introduction on infrared heterodyne interferometry
- Scientific instruments and interferometric infrastructures
- Near and mid infrared detectors
- Metrology, optical link and time/frequency distribution
- Correlators
- Experiments and alternative approaches
- Frequency comb generation in near and mid infrared

At the time of this writing we are contemplating that, instead of proceedings, we will write a collective review article to be submitted to an astronomical journal (Experimental Astronomy).

Registration

The sponsors covered the cost of the registration fee, the buffets, lunches and the workshop dinner.

The registration to the workshop is free of charge, and should be done online : Registration
After the registration, a short abstract (<100 words) is asked in order to introduce each oral presentation : Abstract Submissions
